As 2023 draws to a close, we reflect on the successes of the year and the possibilities of the future. COLA is immersed in not only the continued focus on high quality laboratory results, but also the future of the laboratory industry.
Our commitment to excellence is reinforced by our ongoing collaboration with the Workforce Action Alliance. Together, our collective efforts are aimed at addressing the evolving needs of the laboratory sector, charting a course for a future that ensures a robust and sustainable industry.
In the spirit of progress, COLA is actively involved in the Project Santa Fe Foundation’s Clinical Lab 2.0 movement. Recognizing the significance of laboratories transitioning from a volume-based to a value-based model, we take pride in being part of this transformative journey. This initiative reflects our dedication to staying ahead of the curve and contributing to the advancement of the entire healthcare ecosystem.
Recognizing the vital role of facility accreditors, we extend our gratitude to DNV, an organization rooted in ISO 9001 standards. Aligned with our values, DNV emphasizes education, fosters a non-punitive environment and values collaborative efforts for the delivery of high-quality care.
While our focus on DNV is intentional, we must not overlook the valuable contributions of CIHQ, an accreditor that approaches its role with collegiality, respect and a commitment to cost-effective services. Their dedication to engagement and education resonates with our mission.
Our gratitude extends to our esteemed Board of Directors, whose unwavering support and guidance propel COLA towards greater heights. Our Board consists of experts in clinical laboratory science and physicians representing the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
We express heartfelt thanks to all our accredited laboratories for entrusting us with the opportunity to serve you. Your partnership is the bedrock of our success.
A special salute goes to our exceptional staff, whose dedication and expertise drive COLA’s achievements. Their hard work and commitment are the driving forces behind our accomplishments, and we are privileged to have such a remarkable team.
Looking ahead to 2024, our commitment to education and accreditation remains steadfast. Together, let us proceed confidently into the future, united in our pursuit of excellence and advancement in the laboratory industry.
Wishing you a joyous New Year filled with prosperity, good health and boundless success.
