Lisa Bohman Egbert, MD, joins COLA Inc. Board of Directors

COLA, a national laboratory accreditor dedicated to quality in laboratory medicine and patient care, announces the appointment of Lisa Bohman Egbert, MD, to its Board of Directors. Dr. Egbert joins COLA’s board of prominent professionals appointed by the American Medical Association (AMA), American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the American College of Physicians (ACP).

Dr. Egbert is an Obstetrician Gynecologist and has been in solo practice in Dayton, Ohio, for over 20 years. She is proud to have delivered nearly 2,000 babies and counting. Dr. Egbert graduated summa cum laude with honors from The Ohio State University, where she earned both her undergrad and medical degrees.

Dr. Egbert is currently the vice speaker of the AMA House of Delegates and a member of the Board of Trustees. She has also served on the board of AMPAC, the AMA’s political action committee, on the AMA Council on Medical Service, and as the Chair of the AMA Young Physician Section.

In addition to her involvement at the national level, Dr. Egbert has been a strong advocate at the state and local levels. She has served as the president of Ohio’s Montgomery County Medical Association and is currently the president-elect for the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA).
