MLE CEexpress 3 is two articles intended as a refresher on the performance of
the urine microscopic examination, including the identification of commonly seen
elements.
At the end of this course you will be able to determine when a urine sediment
microscopic exam is indicated, describe how to process urine specimens for
microscopic examination, explain how to perform the microscopic exam, identify
microscopic elements found in urine sediment, and recognize the origin and
significance of elements found in urine sediment.
This course has been approved for P.A.C.E.® credit. There are no
prerequisites for this course.
